Soma Sound

DESCRIPTION

Soma Sound is a multi-layer acoustic membrane designed to reduce impact noise and sound transmission through building structures. It consists of a polypropylene nonwoven top layer, a polyolefin core layer, and a resilient white polyester felt bottom layer.
The product operates according to the mass-spring principle: the elastic polyester layer acts as a resilient element, isolating the screed from the structural slab and reducing the transmission of both impact and airborne noise.
Thanks to its combination of mass and elasticity, Soma Sound provides effective sound insulation against structure-borne noise while offering high mechanical resistance during installation, including excellent puncture resistance even on uneven substrates.

APPLICATION
Soma Silence is designed for use in floating floor systems as a resilient layer installed between the structural slab and the screed, over which any type of floor covering can be laid.
Installation method: the rolls must be unrolled in their natural direction. The underside, which should be laid facing downwards, is the side with the polyester mat, while the upper side, facing upwards, is finished with a nonwoven fabric layer.
