Plenatex PE

DESCRIPTION

PlenaTex PE is a vapor control membrane made of nonwoven polypropylene fabric combined with a continuous extruded polyethylene film. This material combination provides excellent mechanical strength, waterproofing, and long-term durability.
The polyethylene film and nonwoven layer form a balanced structure in terms of thickness, weight, and resistance, ensuring dimensional stability during installation and over time. Additionally, its surface finish enhances adhesion within multilayer systems, facilitating integration with other components in the wall or roof assembly. The membrane is compliant with EN 13859-1 and EN 13859-2.

APPLICATION

PlenaTex PE is designed for use as a vapor control layer in discontinuous pitched roofs. It should be placed directly on the first wooden deck, beneath the insulation layer.
It is ideal for assemblies insulated with materials such as mineral wool, polyurethane, or wood fiber, where regulation of vapor diffusion from inside to outside is critical.
PlenaTex PE helps protect thermal insulation, prevents interstitial condensation, and ensures the proper moisture balance of the building envelope.
It is also used in external wall assemblies, where—installed on the warm side of the structure in direct contact with the thermal insulation—it prevents vapor from entering the wall system, resulting in greater durability and enhanced wall system efficiency.
